AEC fails to provide information knowing that voters are looking for it.

AEC is the first website voter would visit when looking for electoral information. When seeking information about candidates in your district, instead of providing details about the candidate's platform or at least a link to the candidate's party website, AEC presents voters with the candidate's submission. It only prompts one question: Do you want us to verify this? Isn't that your job? Why are you showing this to us?

And if you click on a district, it starts downloading a comma-separated CSV file. Does AEC think of citizens as bureaucratic robots who have nothing else to do?

Dear AEC, you are advertising digital literacy because of misinformation. Did it ever occur to you, when creating this page, that you are doing it on the very website that could put an end to almost all of that misinformation?

Withholding candidate platform information and not publishing even website links is not impartial. It is bureaucratic in a malicious way, allowing candidates and parties with the most money to dominate the informational space.
